Two of TOM Vehicle Rental's English depots have reached 1,000 vehicles each on rent for the first time.

Castleford (West Yorkshire) and Barking (East London) have reached the milestone, and are now tied fourth in the firm’s On Hire by Depot league table behind Airdrie, Manchester and Nottingham respectively.

David Love, head of rental services at TOM Vehicle Rental, said:  “Our Castleford site opened in October 2015 with our London site opening a couple of months later in December 2015 as part of our nationwide expansion programme.

I am extremely proud of the teams at these sites, led by respective branch managers David Walker and Robyn Henderson, for growing the sites so quickly in the space of a year. They have adopted our ‘making It happen’ attitude in striving to consistently deliver excellent customer service as they continue to grow their depots.”

Robert Stewart, CEO at TOM Vehicle Rental added: “Strategically these sites have been important to our overall expansion this year. With further depot network development planned for 2017, these fast-growth depots will be the blueprint for any future sites. David and Robyn’s efforts since joining have been excellent and they’ve set their colleagues at our newly-opened Birmingham site a tough act to follow”
