HM Revenue and Customs has reduced advisory fuel rates for every fuel type and engine capacity.

The sub-1600cc rate of repayment for diesel vehicles was originally stated by HMRC as 19p per mile. 

Fleet News contacted HMRC for clarification, and this was later corrected to 9ppm - a 2p per mile reduction. 

The 1601-2000cc diesel band falls from 13p to 11p, and the 2000cc plus band falls to 14p.

The sub-1400cc petrol band falls 2p to 11p, while the higher bands fall 3p, to 13p and 20p respectively.
