More recently, it’s launched a new fleet decision-maker and driver website designed to give users a complete overview of operating costs and tax costs alongside a raft of new informative features.

A new ‘Ogilvie car chooser’ enables businesses and drivers to select the most environmentally-friendly company cars according to their CO2 figure.

Meanwhile, specially-created online calculators enable drivers to work out their benefit-in-kind tax burden and whether or not they should be in receipt of employer paid for fuel for private use.

Lease rental quotes for vehicles can be individually obtained online based on the Ogilvie True Cost, which takes the established principle of using running costs and includes the critical costs associated with National Insurance Contributions, as well as the applicable corporation tax saving to those actual and direct costs, before adding back in any applicable lease rental disallowance.

In addition, the website features an online service booking and repairer locator and a complete menu of fleet finance options, driver support services and occupational road risk management options available from Ogilvie Fleet.

The website will be further boosted in the near future with the launch of an online ‘fleet manager showroom’ that will securely deliver critical live fleet operational data in real-time to the desktops of fleet chiefs.

“Innovation is at the heart of Ogilvie Fleet and with the new website we have created the most functional and easy to navigate online toolbox for fleet chiefs and drivers,” says Hardy.

“With up-to-date newsfeeds and a blog, the website is designed to be both engaging and informative. We want the site to become a portal of information with an array of tools that are easy to use and quickly accessible.

“There are also links to social networking sites Facebook and Twitter, which we will be using to communicate important information to fleet managers and drivers.”

Stephen concludes: “It helps us target the portfolio of customers we were originally missing by offering them the online functionality they desire and, when you put it alongside the level of the service that these customers want and deserve, I think we’ve got a winning formula.”
