Dropside Transit makes comeback after 25 years

FORD has unveiled the latest addition to the best-selling Transit range - its first Dropside version for 25 years. Designed as a sister to the Transit Flareside, the Dropside is based on the single rear wheel derivative of the 150 medium wheelbase chassis cab with a 76PS 2.5Di diesel engine.

The vehicle, which is also targeted at trades such as roofers and landscape gardeners, is available directly through Ford dealerships from this month priced £13,795 (RRP). It incorporates stirrup side steps and a foldaway step to the rear tailboard. The body, which has internal measurements of 2,820mm x 1,978mm, has painted aluminium hinged sideboards and tailboard and a replaceable 15mm phenolic resin bonded ply floor fitted as standard.
