MORE than 110 fleet managers and fleet decision-makers have booked to attend the first Fleet News Budget Breakfast to be held on March 24. The Breakfast, at Down Hall, Hatfield Heath, will give fleet chiefs the opportunity to find out from fleet and tax experts the impact on their businesses of Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown's March 17 Budget.

Starting at 8.30am and lasting for approximately two hours, the speakers will be Vauxhall Motors tax experts Mike Bacon, General Motors' European tax counsel, and Mark Sutherland, tax manager GM UK tax staff, Stewart Whyte, managing director of Fleet Audits and Fleet News columnist, who will be sponsored by Kwik-Fit Fleet, and Vib Verma, managing director of CW Lease, and Peter Jackman, operations director of CW Lease.

The plan to hold the Budget Breakfast will be conditional on the Chancellor's Budget speech containing, as is being predicted in some quarters, significant changes to company car taxation which could result in a major increase in the take-up of personal contract purchase schemes and cash for car choices.

Places are still available for the event with delegates being charged £50 each to attend the Breakfast. To register your interest in attending contact Jazz Walshe on 01733 467048.
