DIXON Motors has extended its interests in two-wheeled transport with the purchase of Cosmopolitan Motors in London for £1.5 million.

The purchase was made through Dixon Motors' subsidiary Carnell Motorcycles and continues the group's expansion of its motorcycle business, with eight outlets in Britain, including the two new London sites. Dixon Motors is predicting turnover of £650 million and profits of £13.5 million by the end of this year, up from £495 million and £8.8 million in 1997.
