AUDI has announced that the A3 can now be ordered in five-door format for delivery from mid-August, excluding the S3 quattro, at a price premium of about £650 over the hatchback. All five-door models include rear electric windows, third head restraint and child-proof door catches, in addition to the hatchback specification. The 90bhp diesel also joins the 110bhp in the engine line-up and the 110bhp range is having its price cut by 6%.

A new variant joins the A6 range, the 2.7 T quattro, priced at £33,149 for the saloon and £34,318 for the Avant. The range also gets lower sports suspension as standard, 16-inch alloy wheels and a front passenger airbag deactivation switch. The 2.4 SE and 2.5 TDI SE gain cruise control and headlight washers as standard, but the base-model 2.5 TDI, 2.8 and 2.8 SE models have all been deleted from the range.

The A8 range gains a front passenger airbag deactivation switch and ISOFIX child seat mounting to all models.
