CITROEN'S new look Relay was launched at the Amsterdam Motor Show this week, with improved safety and comfort features.

John Hargreaves, Citroen commercial vehicle operations manager, said: 'The current Relay's success is attributable to its class-leading load-handling capability and value for money.

'The new look Relay package adds higher levels of comfort and safety along with reduced operating costs and greater choice.'

The new van has larger bumpers at the front, redesigned bumpers at the rear, side protection mouldings and a stronger driver/passenger compartment. It has a new dashboard with more storage space, mobile phone holder and a fold-up document clipboard.

Body capacities range from 7.5-14 cubic metres, and there will be a greater range of engines and body configurations, with new 1100 and 1500 designations alongside the 1800, and a choice of 86bhp 2.0HDi, 104bhp 2.2HDi and 127bhp 2.8HDi diesels plus a petrol engine for the first time in the UK developing 110bhp from 2.0 litres.
