FORD has backed the quality of repairs at its bodyshops with a new three-year warranty – enough to cover the majority of fleet replacement cycles – on the quality and durability of accident repairs that use original Ford parts.

The previous warranty extended to three years for workmanship but just one year for parts.

The new warranty applies to work carried out at Ford Accident Repair Centres, and entitles customers to have any subsequent vehicle problems related to a repair rectified free of charge at the centre that made the original repair.

Body panels, parts, paint and labour are all covered over unlimited mileage during the three-year period, with the exception only of wear and tear items like exhausts and tyres. The warranty is also transferable from one owner to the next.

Keith Reed, Ford Collision Repair marketing manager, said: 'This comprehensive new warranty provides added value and peace of mind for our customers. It also reflects our confidence in the quality and durability or work carried out by Ford Accident Repair Centres, using original Ford parts.'
