TRANSPORT Minister David Jamieson has recognised that fleets need to look after their drivers when out on the road.

Speaking at a road safety congress, Jamieson said too many businesses ignored road safety issues with their employees, claiming there was a need to include drivers when developing road safety policies.

Charles Davis, head of driver and fleet solutions for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), said: ‘It was very pleasing to hear how importantly the Government views the management of occupational road risk.’
