KWIK-FIT Fleet is opening more centres around Europe as it pushes forward expansion plans.

It has its eye on contracts involving more than two million vehicles within pan-European fleets.

Heading up the business drive is newly-appointed European fleet sales director Mike Wise, who will also retain overall responsibility for the UK fleet market.

On a day-to-day basis UK fleet sales director Nigel Davies, former director of corporate accounts, will manage Kwik-Fit Fleet’s British operations Wise, who is the company’s first dedicated European fleet chief, said: ‘Kwik-Fit Fleet has long-standing business partnerships with almost all the major contract hire and leasing companies in the UK.

‘Our plan is to work with the major pan-European fleet organisations we have identified to replicate the position of strength we have developed in the UK in the continental markets in which we operate.’

The companies Kwik-Fit Fleet has identified are ALD Automotive, Alphabet, Arval, DaimlerChrysler Services Fleet Management, Fleet Synergy International (a global alliance of fleet management companies), GE Commercial Finance Fleet Services, International Fleet Services Limited, LeasePlan and Masterlease.

Between them, they operate almost 700,000 vehicles in the UK and a further 1.5 million vehicles in Germany, France and the Netherlands – the four European markets in which Kwik-Fit has operations. These include Kwik-Fit Netherlands, Speedy in France and Pit-Stop in Germany, as well as 32 distribution outlets in Holland operated by USN Centuri.

This year the company plans to open new centres with expansion in Germany the major focus with a further 35 new outlets planned.
