SOME of the most powerful figures in the European fleet industry were given an exclusive insight into what the future holds at a major conference in Brussels this week.

Delegates from 15 countries discussed key issues facing the multi-billion Euro market and the key drivers that will affect business and customers over the next year.

About 50 company directors, along with vice-presidents of major organisations, business managers, heads of sales and fleet experts – a total audience of nearly 200 people – gathered at the Brussels Marriott Hotel for the Fleet News Europe Conference.

A host of influential speakers covered topics such as the growing importance of road safety in the fleet market, how suppliers can provide services that will help fleets improve their safety record and save lives, the future of the car market and an overview of European taxation.

In a new feature for the annual European conference, breakout sessions covered leasing, remarketing and fleet management.

The event was sponsored by BCA Europe, Nobilas Claims and Fleet Solutions and Hyundai. It was held in association with the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA) and supported by the European Car and Truck Rental Association (ECATRA).
