    Audi A6 Allroad

AUDI’S A6 range expands from next month with the launch of the Allroad, a jacked-up quattro Avant with air suspension, chunky body cladding and more ground clearance. Aimed at filling the gap between the regular A6 Avant and the new Q7, the Allroad is available with two diesel engines – a 2.7 TDI with 177bhp and a 3.0 TDI with 230bhp. Prices start at £33,350. V6 and V8 petrol models arrive next year.

    Volkswagen Eos

ANOTHER addition to the folding metal hardtop club, Volkswagen’s stylish Eos goes on sale in July. It’s a lot more expensive than its similarly-sized Astra, Focus and Megane rivals, but Volkswagen is aiming to find a niche between these models and the more expensive Volvo C70 and Audi A4 Cabriolet. There are a number of petrol and diesel engines available, and prices range from £19,410 to £28,095.
