A LIST of key questions designed to help distinguish trustworthy brokers from those best avoided has been put together by finance provider Network.

Christophe Desplace, director of Network, which works with 145 brokers around the UK, said: ‘The broker industry provides a vital service for thousands of SMEs, providing a flexible, personal solution for the UK’s smaller fleets.

‘With such a fragmented industry, maintaining standards across the board has traditionally been a struggle. We’ve developed these points to help companies ask the right questions from the outset – questions we ask ourselves as part of the vetting process for any new broker.

‘Many companies may be tempted to allow cost considerations to dominate when choosing a broker, but it’s important to ensure you’re dealing with someone who will still be there in five years’ time.’

  • How many employees do you have?
