Cat converter thieves

There has been an increase in the theft of catalytic converters and fuel from parked cars, according to AA Insurance.

Vehicles with high ground clearance are particularly at risk as the ‘cat’ is easier to remove.

“This is a new crime resulting from high fuel and scrap metal values,” said Simon Douglas, director of AA Insurance.
