Rental reflects recssionary thinking

Flexible van and truck rental products are proving to be a hit during the recession as businesses aim to minimise risk, according to TLS Vehicle Rental.

The GE-owned commercial vehicle rental company says that flexible rental products seem to fit recessionary thinking.

“During the recession, we have seen a fall off in traditional daily rental in line with overall reduced activity throughout the economy,” explained Carl D'Ammassa, chief executive officer.

“However, the slack has largely been taken up with flexible rental, which we believe is proving to be the recessionary acquisition method of choice for many businesses.”
