Subsea 7, has signed a contract with Tusker, to provide a salary sacrifice car option as part of its flexible benefits package to around 1,800 employees throughout the UK.

Subsea 7, which works within the oil and gas industry and has regional UK offices in Sutton, Surrey, Glasgow and Wick , offers a flexible benefits package to all staff which had previously included salary sacrifice options for both pension and childcare vouchers.
Senior human resources manager, Jackie Mann, said the company wanted to make as many benefits options available to staff as possible.

“Offering a car as part of our flexible benefits package is very much in line with our policy of giving our employees as many benefits options as possible,” she said.

“We set an upper carbon emissions limit of 160g/km for cars that can be included in the scheme, and have so far had in excess of 40 new car orders in the two months that the scheme has been live.

“This is good news for us as it is in line with our environmental policy objective of being seen to be environmentally friendly and running as many ‘green’ cars as possible,” she said.

“Salary sacrifice is proving to be a very cost-effective way of leasing a car, particularly for spouses, sons, daughters or other family members,” she added.

Tusker managing director David Hosking said: “The company needed flexibility in its offering to staff, who work in many different locations around the world. They wanted an online capability that meant staff could observe and order available cars online and could be communicated with electronically at all times. We were glad to be able to meet that specification,” he added.
