Julie Boyd, the Midlands regional chair of the Association of Car Fleet Operators, has been appointed director at newly formed TR Fleet.

The business, part of employee benefit company Team Rewards, will be offering fleet management and consultancy services as well as salary sacrifice and employee purchase schemes.

Team Rewards works with more than 80 blue chip clients, including several leading high street brands, and 500 companies it classes as SME – those with fewer than 1,000 employees.

Boyd says that TR Fleet has already signed up two of Team Rewards’ major clients and she expects to make further headway over the coming weeks. “There is a great deal of interest,” she told Fleet News.

One of those companies has signed up to a ‘halfway house’ outsource contract. TR Fleet is managing its procurement, writing the policy documents and sourcing quotes from the market.

Boyd believes many fleets can enjoy savings in two key areas: procurement, through matching the best providers to the client, and accident management and insurance, particularly on loss ratios where there is a lack of understanding.

Richard Rankin, Team Rewards managing director, said: “Our 10 years experience of working within the human resources community has helped us to identify many areas where we can assist HR with cars. Our services are designed to reduce administration and costs for both the employer and their employees.”
