Autohorn has added 50 Škoda Octavia vRS to its offering in a bid to attract a younger, more image-conscious customer base.

The North Yorkshire-based fleet and hire car company - a Europcar and National Car rental franchise - supplies cars to many of the region’s councils, universities and police forces.

Lee Underwood, managing director of Autohorn, said: “When we looked at our offering we noticed that we had a gap for a vehicle that met our customers’ requirements for a cost-effective mid-sized car which offers class leading reliability, as well as appealing to the image conscious.

“After speaking to the Škoda fleet sales team we realised that the Octavia vRS was the perfect solution.”

Octavia vRS is characterised by its deeper bumpers, a boot spoiler and Zenith 18” alloy wheels. The interior features sports seats with aluminium trim and a three spoke, leather-wrapped sports steering wheel, which all come as standard.

“Fleet and hire cars used to be basic, and reliability and price were the main decision making factors. However, today’s customers expect to be offered vehicles that not only offer reliability and cost-effectiveness, but also considers the image of the driver and enhances the driving experience,” said Rob English, national fleet sales manager at Škoda.

Škoda’s Octavia vRS is available as a 2.0 T-FSI 200bhp petrol engine or a 170bhp TDI diesel engine and comes as a hatch or estate.
