ADR Accident Repair Centres have just received the results of their green efforts in the final three months of 2010, which reveal that across the Group’s 10 repair centres in the Midlands and Yorkshire a total of 38.4 tonnes of waste material was recycled.

This is the equivalent of neutralising the exhaust emissions of 44 cars, or heating 128 homes.

ADR’s recycled paper and cardboard from the same period saved 227 trees from being cut down. To help achieve these impressive results ADR has been working with pioneering recycling specialists, SWR.

Commenting on ADR’s environmental performance, managing director Andy Blair said: “We are extremely proud of these latest recycling figures.

"Every member of ADR’s 500 strong team is aware of our position on recycling, and have all played their part in this massive reduction of our environmental impact. We believe, in an industry like ours which creates a large amount of waste, it is especially important to engage with the very latest recycling technologies.”
