Kavanagh aims to improve service with Navman Wireless

Rescue and recovery specialists Kavanagh Motor Group has chosen Navman Wireless to track its 236 vehicles in a bid to improve response times to vehicle breakdowns.

Kavanagh Motors, which has more than 26 years’ experience in rescue and recovery, was impressed with Navman’s track record of delivering solutions to the recovery industry and the flexibility and integration capabilities of OnlineAVL Complete, the software at the heart of its tracking system.

Kieron Kavanagh, managing director of Kavanagh Motors, explained: “The Navman Wireless system offered everything we were looking for. Their ability to integrate with APEX Networks recovery management software made them the clear choice.”

As well as investing in OnlineAVL Complete, Kavanagh Motor Group will utilise the M-Nav 760, an integrated two way messaging and navigation terminal, to improve communication between control room and drivers and enhance vehicle routing.

Kavanagh added: “We wanted to empower our Contact Centre by giving them the tools to receive, manage and despatch jobs effectively.

“This new solution ticks all the boxes. We are now able to identify the best vehicle to send to an incident and despatch a job through one interface, instantly.

“The motivation behind this investment was to enhance service levels, and I’m delighted to say that our vehicles are also now covering fewer miles which has reduced fuel spend and vehicle wear and tear.”
