Commercial cleaning contractor Cleanforce has reported major cost and efficiency benefits following the introduction of ForeTrack tracking technology across its fleet.

With fuel costs increasing Cleanforce wanted to implement the ForeTrack live GPS tracking system to its five vehicle fleet in order to benefit from the fuel cost savings it offers.

The ForeTrack system has many tools and features specifically aimed to help firms reduce their fuel bill while at the same time increase productivity.

To ensure extra fuel is not burnt, the vehicle tracking system enables Cleanforce to monitor excessive idling and speeding.  If predetermined speed limits are exceeded the tracking system provides an alert to drivers to notify them.

The vehicle tracking also helps to increase driver productivity through route optimisation and monitoring a driver’s performance and daily planning.

The system generates mileage and timesheet reports which can remove the task from the driver, allowing them to spend more time being productive.

Paul Gowing, managing director of Cleanforce, said: “Through introducing vehicle tracking we have been able to reduce our monthly fuel bill by 15% while benefiting from an increased operational efficiency."

Tom Ross, managing director of ForeTrack, said: “Fleet management technology is changing the way business owner look at fuel consumption.

"Every fleet must pay for fuel and the challenge is to consume it in the most effective way possible.  As fuel costs continue to rise, business owners seek cost effective ways to manage this unavoidable expense and the ForeTrack GPS technology can be one of the most cost effective means to manage fuel consumption.

“ForeTrack provides the Cleanforce management team with information to help them to reduce costs, save time and utilise people appropriately. Using this kind of system correctly improves customer service and keeps the team safe out on the road.”
