David Pimperton has been appointed to the role of project manager at fleet management software company Chevin Fleet Solutions.

He will be responsible for the delivery of new projects from inception through to business analysis, specification, scrutiny of results, internal and client testing, to going live.

Pimperton joins from road sweeper, refuse vehicle and plant hire specialist Go Plant, a Chevin client, where he became familiar with Chevin software for six years as a project manager. He is a Chartered Accountant and also a civil engineering graduate.

He said: “In an organisation like Chevin, the project manager role is very important because you are the eyes and ears of the company at the client’s premises. It is all about ensuring that you develop a strong understanding of their needs to deliver the best possible results.”

Managing director Ashley Sowerby added: “David brings a very detailed understanding of our core FleetWave product from his time at Go Plant and we are sure that he will be a tremendous asset to Chevin. We have an ambitious expansion programme in place for 2014 and will also be appointing a new sales director and marketing manager alongside a range of implementation and development staff.”
