Gemma Cleaver has been appointed as chair of the 1link Disposal Network Customer Forum.

The body represents major fleets that use Epyx’s defleeting e-commerce platform to manage their disposal needs.

Cleaver has been a member of the Forum, on which seven leading fleets are represented, since 2010 and has been deputy chair for the last two years.

The Forum meets every quarter and, being completely independent of Epyx, is designed to provide an impartial voice in the platform’s best practice use and future development.

Cleaver, who is vehicle remarketing administration manager at Leasedrive, said: “What I aim to achieve as chair is to uphold the principles of the Forum with a key focus on enhancing data, engaging a wider community and promoting good practice in the use of the system.

"I look forward to working with all of the Forum members to achieve these objectives.”

Bob Whiffin of GE Capital Fleet Services has become deputy chair of the Forum.

Used by major fleets such as leasing companies to sell stock to used car and van dealers, 1link Disposal Network forms a component in the 1link cradle-to-grave e-commerce vehicle life cycle which includes e-commerce platforms covering vehicle procurement, service and maintenance, taxation and rental.
