The M6 Toll is expecting its 190 millionth customer tomorrow (Friday May 6).
The 190 millionth customer will be identified by M6toll staff and handed an invitation to join the M6toll team at the event where he or she will be presented with a special M6toll tag* entitling them to a year’s free passage on the M6toll.
MEL’s director of motorway operations, James Hodson said: “Freebie Friday is a celebration of reaching a new customer milestone in what is now our twelfth year of operation. The M6toll is now the daily choice of over 47,000 customers who appreciate the reliability and value the m6toll can add to their journey. The family feel to the event gives a little something back to our customers as they take a break at the recently extended motorway services area.”
On the day itself, there will be an M6toll team at Roadchef Norton Canes which is located between junctions T6 and T7 on the M6toll. Customers visiting the services on that day between 11am and 3pm can enjoy the ‘prize every time lucky dip’ for an assortment of prizes, including goody bags, a voucher for free travel on the M6toll and £10 to spend in Roadchef.

I was a very frequent user of the toll with a tag, but I haven't used it much now the M6/M5 junction is working so well. The M6 toll is great in itself but only earlier in the day. Later on all it does is deliver you to the misery of the near grid locked M42 South to the M40 split. Even though the stretch has traffic management the system can't cope with the sheer number of pillocks that can't get in the right lanes in good time a couple of miles before the split so all the criss crossing last minute causes a backup and frequent accidents around J4. ho-hum.
