Tusker has won its third international Green Apple Environment Award.

To mark Tusker’s success in these Awards, two trees will be planted in a sustainable forest, which will also off-set the carbon generated from the team’s journey to the Awards Ceremony at the Houses of Parliament later this year.

David Hosking, CEO of Tusker, said: “Operating an environmentally responsible business clearly has its own rewards.  We all have a duty to play our part, not only with the services that we offer, but also in the way we run our businesses.  So it is an extra bonus to have our team efforts recognised in this way.”

As a result of this Green Apple Award success, Tusker has been invited to have its winning paper published in The Green Book, the leading international work of reference on environmental best practice, so that others around the world can follow the company’s example and learn from its achievement.

The awards are organised by The Green Organisation, an international, independent, non-political, non-profit environment group dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental best practice around the world.

The Green Apple Awards are supported by the Environment Agency, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, the Chartered Institution for Wastes Management and other independent bodies.

The Tusker team will be presented with its trophy and certificate at a presentation ceremony in the Houses of Parliament on November 11, and will have the opportunity to progress to represent the UK in the Green World Awards and the European Business Awards for the Environment.
