Fleet Manager

Anderson Knight is working in Partnership with an award winning uk wide construction and civil engineering firm based in Livingston. They are looking to appoint a Fleet Manager to support the Fleet Safety team in delivering the fleet safety compliance strategy.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing driver training and assessing interventions with a strong focus on improved driver safety.

• Operating within scope and compliance of related legislative bodies such as, DVSA and Office of the Traffic Commissioner.

• Provide competent advice on Driver & Fleet compliance.

• To work closely with the Fleet Safety team to assist the development of a Group wide fleet safety strategy.

• To manage the Company Operators Licence for goods vehicles in designated areas.

• Ensure compliance across the Groups vehicle fleet.

• Provide driver training to your workforce as and when required.

• To provide specialist training such as collision investigation, speed awareness and fatigue management workshops.

• Provide monthly compliance reports and stats to Operations Directors.

• Offering mitigation measures to improve risk areas.

• Undertake RTC investigations, working alongside Police authority when required.

• Arrange and lead on presenting contract Panel Reviews, liaising and advising with Operations Directors and Contract Managers.

• Liaise with specialist fleet legal representatives in preparation for court proceedings.

• To conduct periodic fleet safety audits and ad hoc site inspections across the Group and its supply chain.

• Design and implement driver and manager improvement plans based on Audit findings.

• Ensure all relevant vocational qualifications are kept up to date.

• Attend industry briefings and conferences on behalf of the Group.
