This is a Senior Management position where you will hold relationships throughout the business to ensure that business and customer needs are met through continuous improvement of the flow from finished goods, through packing and delivery.
Your core responsibilities will be:
Fleet Management: Be the competent person for fleet management and ensure that loading sheets are issued and that drivers have the relevant note/documents wallets.
Planning and Scheduling: Working closely with production management to develop weekly, quarterly, and yearly plans to track customer requirements and, therefore logistics.
Finance: Manage the logistics budget by demonstrating financial control, cost and value management.
Staff Management: Line management of a driving team of 10, permanent and temporary staff coupled with ensuring Health and Safety is driven through your team and through the business as a whole.
