We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a leading temperature-controlled distribution company as a Transport Manager. If you thrive in a fast paced environment, where you will be overseeing the day to day running of a thriving site, s, organising, leading and continually developing the transport team, this could be the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all aspects of the Depot's Day to day operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity and compliance to company policies.
Ensure Health & Safety and environmental policies are followed and adhered to including appropriate induction and training for all operational staff.
Develop the Logistics and Despatch teams, training and upskilling the team to ensure adequate competency for future requirements.
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and overall performance.
Managing the drivers, dealing with infringement compliance checks, tacho management and speed checks

Key Skills/Experience:

Strong and demonstrable experience in area of Transport Management
Proven experience within a commercial environment and considerable experience within road transport logistics/transport
Must hold a Transport CPC qualification.
Highly IT literate in systems relevant to role i.e. MS Office, Mandata and Trucknology TMS.
Proven and demonstrable ability to understand customer and business requirements.
Able to work under pressure and manage multiple simultaneous priorities.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
People management experience with demonstrable ability to lead, coach and motivate a team.
Able to support the need for and lead change within area of responsibility.
Knowledge of Transport, Commercial, Health & Safety legislation, risk awareness, Logistics/Transport and Strategy planning
