THE John Lewis Partnership is introducing the Whitechapel employee car ownership scheme for its 580 company car drivers.

The structured car ownership programme will see John Lewis and Waitrose staff own their cars, thereby avoiding company car tax, while enjoying the support and services traditionally associated with fleet cars.

Roger Glenwright, from John Lewis partnership, said the organisation 'has a unique corporate identity in the UK, constantly striving to have the most efficient benefits package available to all our partners'.

'Whitechapel takes a consultancy approach to developing bespoke car ownership schemes, and the solution they devised for John Lewis Partnership updates the way we offer vehicle benefits whilst ensuring greater flexibility and cost benefits to our drivers.'
