TOYOTA showed off its new satellite navigation system at the CV Show. It costs from £1,500 and is available in the Hiace.

The system has been proved in Toyota's passenger car range and is already standard in some Avensis and Previa models.

A Toyota spokesman said: 'It is ideal for commercial vehicle use, saving valuable time in guiding drivers to their destinations. It is simple to operate and extremely accurate.'

Towards the end of the year, Toyota's Electronic Traffic Avoidance system will be available on all CV models.

On the Toyota stand were the Dyna light trucks launched in November last year, together with improved versions of the Hilux pick-up and Hiace panel van. Both now come with common rail diesel powerplants that, with increased service intervals, offer lower running costs.
