BRITISH Car Auctions in Bridgwater raised £2,000 for Motability – the leading car scheme for disabled people – by selling a specially donated car last week.
Motability's Carmen Gronland was on hand to receive the cheque from Lucy Edmonds, operations manager at BCA Bridgwater.
The 1997 P-registered Volkswagen Polo had been gifted to the charity and was taxed, had a current MoT and had only covered 30,000 miles.
It was donated by former Bristol resident Peter Wilson. BCA sold the car free of charge.
