A MAJOR new survey is to get to the heart of key health and safety issues among British fleet operators.

The Fleet News risk management survey, carried out in association with Nissan, is designed to create a snapshot of the current approach to risk management in Britain's fleets.

The internet-based survey will focus on key areas where risk management could have an impact.

Key areas the survey will be focusing on include current methods of risk management, views on driving licence checks, industry accident costs, safety considerations when acquiring company vehicles, knowledge of health and safety issues and the impact of accidents on the fleet.

This is one of the most in-depth investigations ever carried out into health and safety levels on Britain's fleets. Results will be revealed at the Fleet News Spring Conference, which will take place on March 31 at the Heritage Motor Centre, in Gaydon, Warwickshire.
