CAR Crash Line (CCL) is to take delivery of 500 Volkswagens after signing a deal worth more than £6 million at showroom prices.

The group, which provides hire vehicles to people involved in road accidents, currently runs a fleet of more than 1,300 vehicles.

Adrian Hayter, fleet director at CCL, said: 'Volkswagen has been one of our preferred manufacturers since the launch of CCL as the feedback from drivers who receive them is always positive.'

The first of the new fleet will be delivered this month, with the rest being rolled out during the year. The new vehicles will include the new Golf, Polo and Sharan.
