A FARNHAM-based parts distributor has ordered 35 Citroen Berlingos following an analysis of wholelife costs.

The firm, called Are, has taken delivery of five 1.9D Berlingo Enterprise vans with the remaining 30 to follow.

Are managing director Andrew East, said: 'The Berlingo virtually sold itself to us, thanks to a combination of low wholelife costs and high levels of standard driver safety and comfort.'

The Berlingos will replace the group's Kangoo vans and will run on a three-year contract hire agreement with maintenance. The new vehicles are expected to cover more than 90,000 miles during the contract and are being supplied by Lovekyns in Kingston, Surrey.
