• DRIVER training group DriveTech has recruited David Richards to the newly created post of marketing support director. In his new role, Richards will work closely with the sales and delivery departments in driving the business forward over the next six to 12 months. Prior to his appointment, Richards was marketing director at blue chip company Business Objects. He has also held several senior marketing positions at companies including Misys, Dun and Bradstreet and General Electric of America.

  • KEVIN Tillotson has joined vehicle-racking group Modul-System as UK sales manager. Before the appointment, Tillotson worked for the Automobile Association (AA), where he was in charge of service sales to fleets, manufacturers and leasing companies. In his new role, he will be responsible for direct sales to service vehicle operators. He will also develop a national network of partners and vehicle fitters in locations around the UK.

  • GUY Fairbairn has joined the Helphire Group as regional sales manager for the south. He has several years' experience gained in the motor industry and, prior to joining Helphire Group, was sales manager in the corporate division of Aon Warranty Group. He has also held roles at GE Capital in its insurance division and Accident Assistance in the motor finance division.

  • DHL Freight, the contract logistics division of DHL, has appointed two directors to its executive board in the UK. Sue Cowley joins as human resources director. She previously worked for Exel and DaimlerChrysler and in her new role will be responsible for all aspects of HR of the logistics businesses acquired by Deutsche Post. David Grahamslaw has also joined as business development director. He has more than 25 years' industry experience, including roles at TNT and Tibbett & Britten.

  • STEVE Bryant has been appointed commercial vehicles brand manager at Vauxhall Motors, replacing Jon Leicester, who has moved to General Motors in the US. Bryant will head a team of five and will be responsible for ensuring the growth of Vauxhall vans. Stuart Harris has also been appointed as product strategy and VXR brand manager, responsible for managing the VXR brand including the VXR 220.

  • CAR rental group Alliance Asset Management has appointed Riane Cooke as sales manager. Responsible for developing the company's customer call centre, she brings more than 10 years' experience gained in call centre management for firms such as communication giant NTL.
