VOLKSWAGEN will launch 21 new models over the next few years as it aims to push UK sales to 220,000 units by 2010.

Fleet News has been given a sneak preview of some of the models coming next year. They include:

  • Touareg facelift – due in March: New front-end styling to match cars like the Eos.
  • Golf estate – due late summer: Targeted at job-need drivers adds versatility to the range.
  • Passat R36 – August: 300PS, 155mph (limited) four-wheel drive range-topping saloon and estate.

The company is also planning to launch its ultra frugal BlueMotion technology in the UK later this year. Pricing has yet to be confirmed but in the Polo, this TDI promises to offer over 70 mpg.

2008 is also set to be another busy year for Volkswagen, with the arrival of the Tiguan compact 4x4 and new Scirocco, which was seen as the concept Iroc at the Paris Motor Show last year.
