A TELECOMMUNICATIONS company in the Ukraine has taken delivery of the 100,000th Skoda Superb, produced at its assembly line in Kvasiny in the Czech Republic.
Golden Telecom, which the manufacturer describes as one of its key fleet customers, ordered the 1.8-litre petrol model.
Horst Mühl, member of the board of directors of Skoda Auto, said: ‘The decision to produce an upper-medium class car strengthened Skoda’s position in demanding markets and significantly contributed to the growth of its value and prestige.
‘The fact that the Superb model successfully established itself despite competition from luxury brands confirms our opinion that Skoda’s return to the higher class was logical and correct.’
