They are the first Mercedes-Benz to be introduced onto Thrifty’s 15,000-strong car fleet for several years.
“We have a number of alternative prestige vehicle suppliers but decided to give Mercedes-Benz a go in recognition of the faultless service provided by Mercedes-Benz South West and the real desire that they showed to make the deal happen,” said Roger Hancock, Managing Director of Thrifty.
As Mark Archibald, Mercedes-Benz South West’s corporate sales manager, said the close proximity of the businesses was another key factor in clinching the order. “From a logistical point of view, the partnership is perfect as our Exeter showroom is just around the corner from Thrifty’s HQ and is at the hub of a network of sites that also includes Taunton, Plymouth and Truro.
“We were therefore well placed to respond to Thrifty’s requirements – supplying the first vehicle the morning after the paperwork was completed.”
