Virgin Trains has announced a partnership with pay-by-the-hour car club WhizzGo.

WhizzGo, which operates in 11 cities, offers members access to pay-by-the-hour cars using smartcard technology.

The scheme will cover Virgin Trains’ stations in London, Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham.

Once customers have their WhizzGo car, they are free to use it at their leisure, parking it back in its designated bay before they embark on the return train journey.

It is hoped that the partnership will encourage more people to consider taking the train rather than driving, now that they can access a car at their destination providing travellers with a greener travel alternative.
