Prudential is to increase its occupational road risk management focus following the extension of its business partnership with Inchcape Fleet Solutions to November 2009.

A major feature of the new contract is Prudential’s utilisation of Inchcape’s Driver Licence Verification Service.

Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency checks will be undertaken on all at-work drivers to ensure they have a valid licence and ascertain how many points they have.

Prudential will then use management report information to implement targeted risk management solutions if required.

Additionally, Prudential is piloting the online profiling of its drivers.

Prudential fleet manager John Wills said: “Having measures in place to safeguard the safety of our employees is vital to Prudential and that is why we are looking to implement more initiatives.”
