Honda has streamlined its corporate sales team as it aims to build on a successful start to the year.

Harvey Hughes, previously responsible for major corporate and small business sales and its dealer-based fleet programme, takes overall charge as manager – corporate operations.

He heads four corporate teams – major corporate accounts for 100-plus vehicle fleets, leasing and contract hire, B2B dealer programme and fleet aftersales.

The move comes as Honda announced a 23% growth in corporate sales year-to-date fuelled by strong demand for the Civic and Accord models.

Mr Hughes will report to Bernard Bradley, head of car sales at Honda.

Mr Bradley said: “The corporate sales team has achieved fantastic growth.

“With Harvey’s appointment we’re underlining how seriously we take corporate sales at Honda, and how we plan to build on that growth in the future from a robust operational base.”
