Ford Fleet has introduced a fixed-fee risk management tool for all its customers’ drivers.

The new service – part of a long-running risk management offering from Ford – allows fleets to pay a single, fixed price of £95 for a comprehensive risk assessment of Ford drivers.

Carried out by occupational risk firm Drive & Survive, the package includes an online risk assessment and any additional action needed for drivers identified as high or medium risk.

This includes online modular training for medium-risk drivers, or half-a-day’s driver training for high-risk motorists.

Kevin Griffin, Ford’s director of fleet operations, said the programme allowed fleet managers to budget for their drivers’ safety in a straightforward and time-efficient way.

“We offer something that maybe not everyone is aware of and it’s now updated for today’s lifestyle,” he said.

“We can help fleet managers in their duty of care without drivers leaving the office.

“There is no such thing as a bad car these days, and we have got to make sure that we can differentiate ourselves from our rivals with competitive offers and provide what fleet managers want.”
