AXA Assistance has awarded a major contract to Eagle-i to supply a range of telematics-based geolocalisation services to its operations in 13 European countries.

The services will allow AXA to locate the nearest breakdown and recovery vehicle to an incident, dispatch instructions to the driver and provide the customer with a more accurate estimated time of arrival.

The partnership will also enable AXA to meet the requirements of a pan-European e-Call initiative, which is being led by the European Commission and which will bring rapid assistance to motorists involved in collisions anywhere in the European Union.
