Europcar has formed a strategic alliance with Enterprise Rent-A-Car to improve the two companies’ international presence and service offerings, particularly for global corporate accounts.
Enterprise purchased the National and Alamo brands in North America In August 2007.
In the UK, where both companies have separate networks, they will continue to compete.
However, the Europcar Group network will manage the global inbound corporate business into Europe, as well as the individual inbound business reserved through the National and Alamo brands.
The new agreement means Europcar and Enterprise now have access to a fleet of more than 1.2 million vehicles at more than 13,000 locations in 162 countries to form the world’s largest car rental network.
