Fleet Support Group ensured that all its 180 staff were able to defy Arctic weather conditions and report for work every day as usual.

The Chippenham-based company hastily assembled a fleet of 4x4s that operated as a staff shuttle service.

The business rented two 4x4s and commandeered two other 4x4s used as company cars by employees and the ‘emergency’ fleet ensured staff living up to10 miles away could safely travel to and from work.

FSG chairman Geoffrey Bray said: “We didn’t want to let our clients down, particularly as the help and advice they require typically increases when weather conditions are appalling.”
