Zenith Provecta’s salary sacrifice scheme Salary Exchange is driving down its average CO2 ratings for cars ordered.
The average CO2 for all cars ordered in Salary Exchange schemes in 2009 was just 128g/km. This compares with the SMMT’s latest figure of 158g/km for all new cars ordered during 2008.
Andrew Cope, chief executive of Zenith Provecta, said: “The EU has set a target of an average of 130g/km by 2015 – our Salary Exchange cars have already achieved that and they are contributing to the reduction of our entire fleet’s CO2 to well below the SMMT figures for all new cars sold.”
The Zenith Provecta Salary Exchange scheme is designed to reduce costs for employers and employees within the framework of an environmentally aware car policy because it works with the CO2-based tax breaks.
