Lex Autolease, the UK’s largest fleet funding and management provider, has been named 'Compass Group, Supplier of the Year, 2009’.

Lex Autolease also received two highly commended nominations in the categories of ‘’Alignment to Strategy’’ and “Can-Do”.

Lex Autolease beat 750 other suppliers to win the award in recognition of the customer service delivered through managing Compass’ fleet of 800 vehicles during 2009.

Lex Autolease first started working with Compass in 2004, initially as part of a multi-supplier arrangement that also featured two other leasing providers.

In 2008, Lex Autolease was awarded sole-supplier status.

A key component of the decision to award Lex Autolease was the delivery of cost saving solutions for Compass.

“Over the past year Lex Autolease has consistently delivered an excellent standard of service and a range of cost-saving strategies that have reaped rewards," said Mick Morgan, head of supply chain at Compass Group UK and Ireland.
