The Institute of Car Fleet Management has been presented with the Fleet News Training Award.

The Institute of Car Fleet Management, a not-for-profit association, provides fleet management training. It aims to raise the professional standards and advance the excellence of fleet management in the UK.

ICFM promotes the profession, encourages the sharing of best practice and responds to the requirements of the industry for training programmes relevant to all levels of staff.
The quality of its training courses is recognised not only by those involved in fleet management, but also by their suppliers.

As a result, its accredited training courses cater for them as well as fleet managers and administrators.

Indeed, the ICFM worked with the BVRLA to develop and deliver its successful Professional Fleet Consultant Development Programme.
It is also working with car manufacturers to develop courses that will allow their fleet sales teams to better understand the requirements of their customers – car and van fleet managers.

The Institute also provides a scholarship fund to help those who cannot afford, or whose employers cannot afford, to pay the full training fees.

Judges’ comments
This new category produced a clear winner. ICFM is an organisation that is dedicated to the training of fleet managers and improving the professionalism of the fleet sector. It enjoys fantastic feedback from fleet managers that have completed one of its courses. The judges were unanimous in their decision.
