Van Monster’s special 15% VAT offer, which runs until the end of October, is targeted at firms which may not be VAT registered and therefore unable to claim VAT back when acquiring light commercial vehicles.

It allows businesses to save cash on the current 17.5% VAT rate, and by buying a vehicle now they will beat the VAT rise to 20%, which will be introduced on January 4, 2011.

Van Monster centres are located in Birmingham, Bridlington, Colchester, Leicester, Newmains, Wakefield and Warrington.

Gary Sullivan, Van Monster managing director, said: “We aim to give business and individual customers the best selection of quality used vans, at the best available price with mileage and condition to suit all budgets.

“The recession meant that many businesses were unable to afford to replace their vehicles. However, it is important for small firms and sole traders to have modern, well maintained vans and the fact that we achieved record sales volumes last month highlights that many smaller businesses are now looking to buy high quality value-for-money used vehicles instead of possibly a new van with the economic picture still looking very uncertain.

“For businesses that are unable to reclaim VAT we are giving them a helping hand to acquire newer vehicles which will be more efficient than the older vehicles they are currently running being less costly to service and maintain.

“By combining our range of stock, our quality of vehicle and maintenance records with this fantastic offer, we are helping customers improve their cash flow and gain access to quality used vehicles that are in such short supply.”
